Couple of new vids
In an attempt to figure out my high def video software and some of my new recording software. I have been recording some live versions of my tunes in my studio.
This first video is of a song called the "The Greatest Gift" it was written for an EFY album a few years ago. I call it the EFY song that never was.
This next video is of a song called "Will I". A tune I wrote when I found out we were expecting our first child.

New Amp, Old Tune, High Def.....
So after spending a few hours in the guitar store, and wanting to go all tube, I finally droped some coin for a new guitar amp. While I fell in love with the Mesa Boogie stuff, it was just more economical to go with a Fender Hot Rod Deville. The clean is so nice and all my pedals sound great through it. Anyway, here is a demo of the new amp, with a pedal and some delay on a Satriani tune. I also figured out the whole HD thing on youtube, it takes longer to make a video, but the quality is much better.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this tune, it has been a favorite of mine since I first started playing guitar.

SRV and Pride And Joy........
I got bored one night, put the mics up in the studio and busted out some blues. This is my live version of Stevie Ray Vaughan's Pride and Joy. SRV is probably one of the most influential guitarist in the last 30 years. While all the hairbands were shredding he was laying down some groovy rootsy blues and playing clubs and venues all over the world.
Here's what Wikipedia has to say:
Stevie Ray Vaughan (born Stephen Ray Vaughan; October 3, 1954 – August 27, 1990) was an American guitarist, singer and songwriter. He is often considered to be one of the most important electric guitarists in the history of rock music by other musicians and commentators. Six albums of Vaughan's work have been released.[1] In 2003, Rolling Stone magazine ranked Stevie Ray Vaughan #7 in its list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time,[2] and Classic Rock Magazine ranked him #3 in their list of the 100 Wildest Guitar Heroes in 2007. He is widely considered to be one of the most influential blues guitarists in history.
Anyway here's my small atempt at playing one of his most popular tunes.

Austin Weyand in the studio Jam Session then Interview.
So Austin is a finger style guitarist that does not live to far from me, and he has been doing some video work in the studio, but one day we had a little jam and caught some of it on video. He writes cool stuff for guitar. Go check out his vids on youtube if you get a chance.
